Crochet Resort Wear Guide – Hand-Hooked in Brazil

The Chaïa Crochet Collection

Chaïa crochet resort wear is hand-hooked in coastal Brazil using metallic-blend yarns and traditional one-stitch-at-a-time techniques. Our collection includes tops, dresses, sets, shorts, and skirts — designed for vacation, festival, evening, and effortless everyday wear.

Why Hand-Crocheted?

Machine knit cannot replicate hand crochet. The stitch structure is denser, the drape softer, and the durability significantly higher. A Chaïa crochet piece worn 50 times still looks like the day it arrived.

Each top takes 12–20 hours to make. Each dress takes 30–40 hours. The metallic threads we use are sourced regionally in Brazil and chosen for sun-on-water shimmer.

Fit Guide

One-size-fits-most fits US 0–10 (XS–L). The crochet weave stretches an additional 2–3 inches without losing shape. See the full sizing guide or message us for personalized fit recommendations.

Care

Hand wash cold with gentle detergent. Lay flat to dry. Never tumble dry or hang. Store folded. Full care guide here.

Styling: Beach to Evening

Crochet works in both day and evening contexts. Pair the Bahia Dress with sandals for a beach lunch, then add gold jewelry and a beaded clutch for dinner. The Ipanema set transitions from poolside to rooftop without changing. Read our full styling guide.
