What Makes Chaïa Bags Different

Density. A typical Chaïa clutch contains 40,000 to 100,000 beads. Cheaper alternatives use bead glue or lower stitch counts. Adda hand-embroidery produces a denser, more durable surface that holds shape for years.

Pattern integrity. Because each bead is placed individually, our patterns achieve sharp transitions, gradient blends, and motif precision impossible to replicate by machine.

Lining and construction. Each bag is finished with a soft fabric lining, hand-set hardware, and a custom dust bag for storage.

Care & Storage

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Never submerge in water. Store flat in the included dust bag, lightly stuffed with tissue to maintain shape. See full care instructions.

Sizing & Capacity

Most Chaïa clutches measure 9–11 inches wide × 5–7 inches tall and comfortably fit a phone (including iPhone Pro Max), a card holder, lipstick, and a small set of keys. Specific dimensions are listed on each product page.

The Adda Embroidery Tradition

Adda embroidery has been practiced in India for over 300 years. The maker stretches fabric over a wooden frame, then uses a hooked needle (the aari) to apply beads one at a time from beneath the cloth. A skilled artisan can place several thousand beads per day.
