Autumn Color Story: Burnt Orange, Gold, and Soft Green
Chaya MobasserShare
The autumn equinox has arrived, and with it a change in the light. It is lower, warmer, and more golden, and it brings out a different set of colors than summer did. If you are building a fall wardrobe, start with the colors and the rest will follow.
Here are the three we keep coming back to.
Burnt Orange
Orange is the color of the season, and it is not only for pumpkins. A warm, deep orange looks rich against fall foliage and cooler light. The The Träncoso Dress is a hand-crocheted dress in a bold orange that already feels at home in autumn. Wear it with a leather jacket or a cream knit over the shoulders and tall boots in place of sandals.

Gold
Gold is the quiet partner of every fall color. It warms up neutrals, lifts dark tones, and picks up the last of the sun. The The Ibïza Top in Gold in gold is a lovely layering piece under a jacket, and the The Sälvador Bag in gold is a small, steady glow that completes an outfit.

Soft Green
Green is the surprise of the season. It is an unexpected pairing with orange and gold, and it looks especially good in a soft, muted shade. The The Tel Aviv Chaï is a hand-strung necklace with pistachio-green seed beads and a gold chai pendant, and it brings that gentle green to a dark autumn outfit.

Putting the Colors Together
The three colors work together beautifully, and you do not need to wear them all at once. Try one of these combinations:
- Orange + gold: a hand-crocheted orange dress with a gold beaded bag.
- Gold + green: a gold top with a pistachio-green bead necklace.
- All three: a gold bag, an orange layer, and a green accessory.
Neutrals to Anchor Them
Autumn colors need a calm backdrop. Cream, camel, black, and denim let them shine. If you are not sure where to begin, start with a neutral outfit and add one of these colors as an accent.
Why These Colors Feel So Good
There is a reason we feel pulled toward warm colors when the weather cools. They echo the changing leaves and the lower sun, and they feel comforting. Wearing them is a small way of making the season feel like your own.
A Note on Handmade Color
Each of our pieces is made by hand, and a hand-crocheted or hand-beaded surface gives color a depth that flat fabric does not have. You can read more about our process in From Brazil to Your Wardrobe.
